Important:
Before you begin:
- Save your work.
- Make sure your device is connected to the internet.
- If you are using a laptop, keep it plugged into power during the update
Step 1: Open the Start Menu
Click the Start button on your taskbar.

Step 2: Open Settings
Click Settings or Open.

Step 3: Open Windows Update
In the Settings window, click Windows Update from the left-hand menu.

Step 4: Check for Updates
Click Check for updates.

Step 5: Download and Install Updates
If updates are available, click Download & install.

Step 6: Restart if Prompted
If Windows asks you to restart, wait for all items to finish downloading then click Restart now to complete the update.

Start → Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates → Download & install → Restart now if prompted.

- Updates may take some time depending on your internet connection and the size of the update.
